God’s Power to Change a Sinner’s Heart
Ezekiel 11:19-20 (NCV)
"I will give them a desire to respect me completely, and I will put inside them a new way of thinking. I will take out the stubborn heart of stone from their bodies, and I will give them an obedient heart of flesh. Then they will live by my rules and obey my laws and keep them. They will be my people, and I will be their God."
Have you ever felt you sinned too many times for God to change you? Or felt that God would never forgive you because of what you did was too bad? There is hope for those who ever felt this way. God is known for changing the worst sinner’s heart like He did for the Apostle Paul. God will replace your old sinful heart with obedient hearts of flesh. With the help of the Holy Spirit, you can live a life that pleases God. A life that pleases God means living according to what God says is holy and right. You don’t have to be a slave to sin anymore because of God’s power that changes you.
Prayer of the day:
Dear heavenly Father,
We thank you for your love and grace. You are so powerful that you can change our sinful hearts to people who will please you. We need your power to replace our heart with a new one so we will be able to keep your commands because we can’t do it ourselves. Please continue to help us to obey your laws and rules because we need your help to keep us from going back to our old sinful ways. In Jesus name we pray. Amen!
